The autumn wind is soughing in September. On 28th September, the east campus of Anqing Foreign Language School welcomed the annual sports events. In attendance of the opening ceremony were Deputy Director General Chen Yaling with Municipal Education Bureau, Section Chief Fang Min with the Basic Education Section, Company Director Zhang Yanbin, Anqing Foreign Language School’s President Madam Huang Wenli, Vice Principals Yan Hongping, Liu Bing& Huang Zuning as well as Principal Assistants Lu Dan& Qian Zhihong.
First of all, the sports meet smoothly raised the curtain with the majestic ‘Sportsmen March’. The square formations of wreath, school flag, colored flags, athletes and referees entered the arena in order, which demonstrated the elegant demeanor of Anqing Foreign Language School’s teachers and students to the fullest.
Second of all, all teachers and students observed the national flag raising and national anthem playing ceremony. Also, they attentively listened to the opening speech made by Vice Principal Liu Bing.
Third of all, athlete and referee representatives made pledges at the opening ceremony. Afterwards, all teachers and students watched the martial arts performance in Primary Section and the 10th grade in addition to the broadcast gymnastics in Grade 7.
Fourth of all, Deputy Director General Chen Yaling declared the commencement of the 10th Session track& Field Sports meet in the east camps of Anqing Foreign Language School.
What’s more, during this sports meet, all competitors took the spirit of ‘Friendship First, Competition Second’, demonstrating style and skills. More remarkably, the teaching and administrative staff of all departments actively participated in the 4-by-100-meter relay race to showcase teachers’ graceful bearing.
On the whole, the two-day 10th Session Track& Field Sports Meet in the east campus of Anqing Foreign Language School greeted her closing ceremony. Vice President Liu Bing announced the competition results and hosted the prize-awarding ceremony as well. Furthermore, Anqing Foreign Language School’s President Madam Huang Wenli made a keynote speech in which she addressed that although the weather did not smile on us, continuous rain did not affect athletes’ courage to fight. Nor did it weaken the umpires’ cautious and conscientious spirit or students’ enthusiasm to cheer. Therefore, anything could be accomplished if we were strong-willed. Meanwhile, many thanks to all teachers and students who guaranteed the perfect conclusion of the sports meet. Last but not the least, Madam President put forward four proposals concerning the National Day holidays and wished students a happy holiday beforehand.
